ABANTE

A gear and a forward stroke for a student organization whose name means to move forward.

"Na, para mo abante ta." The A is cut by a diagonal that pushes forward inside a gear, and the same mark had to work on a dark blue feed, on white documents, and as a tiny avatar.

Thought process

  1. 01

    Read the name

Abante means to move forward. The mark cuts an A with a forward stroke inside a gear, for an engineering school.

  2. 02

    Make it small-proof

It had to work as a tiny avatar, on dark blue posts and on white documents, so the shapes stay bold and simple.

  3. 03

    Keep the posts consistent

One blue, one type family and the mark at the top made every post recognisable at a glance.
